Yayasan Budi Penyayang Malaysia (PENYAYANG) was established in 2000.
It is a charity foundation (NGO) dedicated to providing assistance to all Malaysians in need, regardless of colour, race or creed.

WHO WE ARE

Yayasan Budi Penyayang Malaysia (PENYAYANG) is a Foundation incorporated for the purposes of receiving donations, subscriptions or otherwise, and to administer such funds for education, public welfare, research, health, medical and other charitable purposes for the benefit of needy Malaysians, irrespective of colour, race or creed.

PENYAYANG aspires to bring cheer and joy to the less fortunate and disadvantaged Malaysians. This will only be possible with support and assistance from well-wishers and all other caring Malaysians.

OUR FOUNDER

PENYAYANG’S founder is the late YABhg Tun Endon Mahmood, wife of the fifth Prime Minister of Malaysia, YABhg Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi.

YABhg Tun Endon was passionate about community work and the arts. She championed the Malaysia Batik: Crafted for the World Movement, which was conceived as a long-term vehicle in championing the Batik industry in Malaysia.

Being stricken by breast cancer herself, Tun Endon emphatised thoroughly with those inflicted with cancer. She set up Penyayang Pesakit Kanser to provide support for cancer patients and their families.

Since her demise on 20th October 2005, her daughter Pn. Nori Abdullah has been the Chairman of PENYAYANG.

PENYAYANG continues the legacy of YABhg Tun Endon Mahmood through its many activities and programmes.

Chief Executive Officer's Message

YABhg. Tun Endon Mahmood founded Yayasan Budi Penyayang Malaysia (PENYAYANG) in 2000 for a broad spectrum of objectives which are contextualized in six (6) major areas of societal concern, namely;

PENYAYANG is a charity organization limited by guarantee and it has tax-exempt status. PENYAYANG collaborates with benevolent sponsors, donors, well-wishers and friends to implement its various impactful programmes. Volunteers are recruited to assist in operationalizing these programmes alongside full-time staff.

PENYAYANG has a dedicated and energetic team which works arduously at developing appropriate and relevant programmes to ensure the implementation and sustenance of the various programmes across the six (6) main areas identiﬁed. Resource persons and experts have come on board to assist in planning, developing and implementing appropriate programmes. PENYAYANG appreciates all their contributions and will be ever grateful for their invaluable contributions.

The daunting challenge has always been, to raise funds to ensure the effective delivery and the sustenance of programmes. PENYAYANG would like to appeal to generous Malaysians for ﬁnancial assistance to enable the effective implementation of programmes for identiﬁed individuals and communities.

The PENYAYANG team would like to thank the Chairman and the members of the Board of Trustees for their support and trust.

PENYAYANG will stay true to its objectives and will use funds and resources donated, prudently and with accountability.

May Allah guide and protect Yayasan Budi Penyayang Malaysia as it strives to break barriers and build bridges and consequently contribute to the nurturing and development of responsible and productive Malaysians.
